Nicolas P. Ahadzadeh, Esq. is a labor and employment lawyer with experience in pursuing justice for victims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour violations in the employment context.

While he has worked in individual lawsuits, including some defense work, most of Nicolas’s experience falls within plaintiff complex litigation, including class, collective, and/or PAGA representative actions.

Nicolas is licensed to practice law in California, including both the Southern District and Central District federal courts of California.

Background & Education

Originally from Los Angeles, California, Nicolas obtained his undergraduate degree from Grand Canyon University in Arizona, graduating summa cum laude and earned the distinct honor of being chosen as the university’s lone undergraduate student commencement speaker.  Nicolas is a vetted oral advocate, dedicating his extracurricular undergraduate time to competing on the university’s speech and debate team, and earned regional individual distinctions for mock trial against schools like UCLA, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, and other elite universities.

After receiving his undergraduate degree, Nicolas attended California Western School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate.  During law school, Nicolas served as the 1L representative and Vice President of the Student Bar Association, earned three “Distinguished Advocate” awards from intercollegiate competitions, and obtained multiple Academic Excellence Awards, including for Alternative Dispute Resolution and Trial Skills for Distinguished Advocates (a class only offered to students who have obtained a “Distinguished Advocate” distinction).  Beyond his success as an oral advocator, Nicolas served as the law school’s LexisNexis Ambassador, served as a small claims mediator at the Hall of Justice, and actively participated in the following student-led organizations: Business Law Society, Employment & Labor Law Society, Federal Bar Association, Middle Eastern Law Student Association, Women’s Law Caucus, and others.

Publications

Nicolas is a dedicated writer, serving as a Senior Editor on the law school’s periodical and has authored articles for both Thomson Reuters and the ABA GP Solo Division. These articles include “Using Legal Research to Stay Ahead of the Curve” and “Bridging the Financial Gap from Law School Graduate to Sole Practitioner,” respectively.

Affiliations

Currently, Nicolas enjoys participating in several legal organizations in the San Diego community. He has previously participated as a committee member for the San Diego Lawyer’s Club, is an active member of the San Diego County Bar Association, and is currently applying for the Welsh Inn of Court in San Diego.
