Conor Gomez
Conor J.D. Gómez serves as the Settlement Attorney at Ferraro Vega Employment Lawyers, Inc. As the head of the firm’s Settlement Department, Mr. Gómez is responsible for the meticulous finalization of resolved class action and PAGA matters. He ensures that every case is navigated through the approval and distribution process with maximum efficiency and in strict compliance with court orders. By capitalizing on his expertise in settlement negotiations, workflow optimization, and the drafting of complex agreements and motions, Mr. Gómez is dedicated to achieving superior outcomes for large groups of workers.
Background & Education
Mr. Gómez earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in May 2020. His academic excellence was recognized with the Masin Family Foundation Gold Award. Prior to law school, he graduated from the University of California, San Diego in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, concentrating in Law & Society. During his legal education, he further expanded his expertise by obtaining credentials in course design, teaching innovation and technology, and business administration from the University of California, Irvine.
Admitted to practice in May 2021, Mr. Gómez is licensed in the State of California and before the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He is deeply committed to legal education and mentorship, serving as an adjunct professor at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego and acting as a Bar Exam Preparation mentor to law students throughout the region. Additionally, he has guest lectured at the University of California, Irvine on various legal topics and has served on the board of directors for local arts organizations.
Litigation Experience
Mr. Gómez began his legal career representing both for-profit and non-profit/tax-exempt organizations, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of business perspectives that he now uses to advocate effectively for employees. He has practiced plaintiff-side employment litigation for several years, building a strong record of securing settlements in individual wage-and-hour and FEHA matters, with results consistently reaching the six-figure range. He has since pivoted to ushering class action and PAGA representative actions through the settlement approval process and has successfully achieved final approval on dozens of cases throughout the state with settlements routinely in the six- and seven-figure range.
Throughout his career, Mr. Gómez has held positions of increasing responsibility across multiple firms, where he has mentored dozens of new attorneys in employment law fundamentals and litigation strategies. He is also a certified mediator on the California Lawyers for the Arts mediation panel, where he volunteers his time to resolve a wide range of disputes, including artistic business ownership and employment matters. This multifaceted experience allows him to approach every settlement with a strategic, resolution-oriented mindset.
